Now the next question is, can she hold at #1 for a second week? The song still has a bullet and is this week's Greatest Gainer, but there are 3 songs right behind her with bullets as well just itching to take her over! Madonna's last multi-week #1 on the Club Play chart was "4 Minutes" back in 2008, which stayed at the top spot for 2 weeks. "Living For Love" also debuts on the Dance / Mix Show Airplay chart at #35, and the Pop Songs chart at #36.

Don't know if you even read the comments on this blog anymore, but I thought I'd share some interesting chart trivia with you (well I think its interesting anyway). Since January 2008 only 7 songs have made it more than one week atop the dance club songs chart. This is according to the wikipedia pages for each year, such as
ReplyDeletehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_number-one_dance_singles_of_2015_(U.S.)
In case you're wondering, they are:
May 2008 / 4 Minutes / Madonna & JT / 2 weeks
July 2008 / Stamp Your Feet / Donna Summer / 2 weeks
January 2009 / I Hate This Part / Pussycat Dolls / 2 weeks
June 2009 / When Love Takes Over / David Guetta & Kelly Rowland / 2 weeks
November 2011 / We Found Love / Calvin Harris & Rihanna / 2 weeks
June 2013 / Get Lucky / Daft Punk / 2 weeks
August/September 2013 / Wake Me Up / Avicii / 2 weeks
I hope she can make it two weeks in a row as well! Think you'll know tomorrow? Seems like the Club Play chart results are available way before any of the others. Take care.
thanks for that info! i had no idea
DeleteI wish she would do more US press and performances. I know the Grammy's attracted a large audience but I think it's going to take more than one US performance to generate interest in the song. I don't know. Or maybe she should do a radio press tour.
