Cherish (1989)
FORMATS: 7" Vinyl, Cassette Single
HISTORY AND NOTES: "Cherish" was the third single released from 1989's "Like A Prayer" album. It was Madonna's first single since "Crazy For You" to not be released as a Maxi-Single in the USA, even though one was released overseas. The 7" and cassette singles featured a shorter edit of the album version, and were backed by the previously unreleased track "Supernatural", one of the few non-album B-sides that Madonna has released in her career.
Like "Express Yourself", "Cherish" only reached #2 on the Hot 100, but it did become Madonna's third #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart. "Cherish" was included on 1990's The Immaculate Collection and 2009's Celebration compilations.
