HISTORY AND NOTES:
"Spotlight" was the sole new song on Madonna 1987 You Can Dance remix album. It was actually a previously unreleased song from the True Blue album sessions.

Though not released as an official single in the USA,  enough radio stations unofficially played the song which allowed it to appear on the Hot 100 Airplay chart and the short-lived Hot Crossover Singles chart. The only country in which "Spotlight" was officially released as a commercial single was Japan.
