FORMATS: Club-Play Promo
HISTORY AND NOTES:
Legend has it that Madonna and her record label Warner Bros. were at odds over which track to release as the fourth single from 2000's Music album. Apparently, Madonna wanted "Impressive Instant" while Warner wanted "Amazing".
While promo 12" vinyls were released in the USA for "Impressive Instant" and promo CD's were released in Europe for "Amazing", eventually neither song was released as plans for a fourth commercial single were scrapped worldwide. Promo CD's for "Amazing" were withdrawn in Europe and the USA "Impressive Instant" remixes remain promo-only.
The "Impressive Instant" remixes were successful, however, peaking at #1 on the Club Play chart for 2 weeks. This was Madonna's seventh consecutive #1 Club hit which had started with "Nothing Really Matters" in 1999, and her fourth straight #1 Club hit from the Music album.
