Open Your Heart (1986)
FORMATS: 7" Vinyl, 12" Vinyl
HISTORY AND NOTES: "Open Your Heart" was the fourth single from Madonna's highly successful 1986 album, True Blue. It was released in the Winter of 1986.
The 7" and 12" vinyls were backed with "White Heat", an album track from True Blue. The 12" featured the Extended Version of "Open Your Heart" as well as a Dub version. An Edit Of Extended Version was released on the promo 7".
"Open Your Heart" was another big success from True Blue and went on to become Madonna's fifth Hot 100 #1 hit (which was pretty impressive since it was already the fourth single from the album). It also hit #1 on the Airplay and Club Play charts. "Open Your Heart" was included on 1990's The Immaculate Collection and 2009's Celebration compilations.
