La Isla Bonita (1987)
FORMATS: 7" Vinyl, 12" Vinyl
HISTORY AND NOTES: "La Isla Bonita" was the fifth and final single from True Blue. It is one of Madonna's most popular 80's songs.
As with all the True Blue singles, 7" and 12" vinyls were once again released. The 7" was backed with a shorter fade of the Instrumental Remix that appeared on the 12". An Extended Remix also appeared on the 12", while a Remix/Edit was issued on the promo 7".
"La Isla Bonita" became the album's fifth Top 5 hit on the Hot 100 where it peaked at #4. The song also became Madonna's second #1 hit on Adult Contemporary and peaked at #1 on the Maxi-Singles Sales chart. It was later included on 1990's The Immaculate Collection and 2009's Celebration compilations.
