FORMATS: 7" Vinyl, 12" Vinyl, Cassette Single, Cassette Maxi-Single, CD Maxi-Single
HISTORY AND NOTES: Shortly after "Keep It Together", "Vogue" (from the album I'm Breathless: Music From And Inspired By The Film Dick Tracy) was released to the masses and became a huge hit. Interestingly, "Vogue" was recorded to be a b-side on the "Keep It Together" single, but when the record company executives heard it, they knew it would be a hit and instead put it on the I'm Breathless album and released it as its own single.
"Vogue" was Madonna's first single to be released in 5 physical formats in the USA. The standard editions featured the Single Version and Bette Davis Dub, while the maxi formats also featured the 12" Version and the Strike-A-Pose Dub.
"Vogue" was a 3-week #1 hit on the Hot 100, and also hit #1 on several other charts including, of course, the dance charts. It would also be Madonna's first Double Platinum single. "Vogue" is one of Madonna's biggest signature songs of all time.
