Frozen (1998)

FORMATS: 7" Vinyl, 12" Vinyl, Cassette Single, CD Single, CD Maxi-Single

HISTORY AND NOTES:
"Frozen" was the highly-anticipated first single from Madonna's first studio album in four years, 1998's Ray of Light. The song ushered in a new ethereal. electronica inspired sound for Madonna.

5 physical formats were released in the USA. The standard B-Side was the album cut "Shanti/Ashtangi", while the maxi and promo versions featured several remixes.

"Frozen" was very well received and made it all the way to #2 on the Hot 100, staying on the chart for a total of 20 weeks (before being retired to Recurrent status). It hit the Top 10 on most other charts but went to #1 on Club Play, and was also certified Gold. The song also appeared on two of Madonna's greatest hits albums: 2001's GHV2 and 2009's Celebration.

CERTIFICATION: Gold
