I'll Remember (1994)
FORMATS: 7" Vinyl, 12" Vinyl, Cassette Single, Cassette Maxi-Single, CD Single, CD Maxi-Single
HISTORY AND NOTES: "I'll Remember" was a song from the soundtrack to the motion picture With Honors. It was released as a single in the Spring of 1994.
The physical releases featured mellow remixes by William Orbit, who would go on to co-produce Madonna's monumental 1998 album, Ray of Light. Erotica album track "Secret Garden" was chosen as the B-Side. The CD maxi also featured a live version of the song "Why's It So Hard", which was also from the Erotica album. "I'll Remember" was Madonna's last single to be released in the cassette maxi format in the U.S.
The song was a huge hit and frustratingly peaked at #2 for a total of 4 weeks. It spent 26 total weeks on the Hot 100 and reached #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart. Its weakest showing was on the Maxi-Singles Sales chart where it only stayed a brief 2 weeks and peaked at #30. "I'll Remember" was featured on Madonna's 1995 ballads compilation Something To Remember.
