HISTORY AND NOTES:
"Give It 2 Me" was the second single released from 2008's Hard Candy album.

When Hard Candy was released on iTunes, the Paul Oakenfold remix of "Give It 2 Me" was included as a bonus track. Individually purchased, the track sold enough downloads to land it at #57 on the Hot 100 the following week. The next week after that, it had fallen off the chart completely. By the time "Give It 2 Me" was shipped to radio and the video had premiered, public interest in the song was gone and it never re-entered the Hot 100, though physical and digital formats were eventually released, including a 12" Vinyl Picture Disc and a Limited Edition Double 7" White Vinyl Set (paired with "4 Minutes"). This 7" vinyl set included a non-USA album track, "Ring My Bell" (though this track had appeared on the Japanese version of the album as a bonus track).

"Give It 2 Me" did continue to have a presence on all Dance charts (reaching #1 on the Dance sales, Club Play and Dance Airplay charts), and did climb the Pop 100 chart to a peak of #41. "Give It 2 Me" was not included on 2009's Celebration hits album.
