Love Profusion (2004)

HISTORY AND NOTES:
Surprisingly, a fourth single from the American Life album was released. "Love Profusion" was released in early 2004 in the USA (the song had been the third and final UK single in late 2003).

With the American release, new remixes were commissioned and released on CD and 12" Vinyl maxi formats. A bonus remix of "Nothing Fails" by Peter Rauhofer was even included as a bonus track on the CDs.

For this release, it seemed that the Warner Bros. wasn't really concentrating on getting "Love Profusion" onto mainstream radio airwaves, but instead released it especially for the dance community (and as a promotional tie-in with an Estee Lauder fragrance). Unsurprisingly, Madonna missed the Hot 100 again, but hit #1 on the Dance Singles Sales chart and the Club Play chart. This was also Madonna’s second single to appear on the recently created Dance Radio Airplay chart, her first was “Me Against The Music” with Britney Spears. "Love Profusion" was not included in 2009's Celebration compilation.
